Your privacy, plainly explained.

We collect the minimum needed to run a reliable booking service — and nothing more. Here is exactly what we hold, why, and the controls you have over it.

1. What we collect

When you register, we store your email address and — if you sign in with Google — your name and profile photo. When you set up a business we store the business details you enter: name, description, logo, cover image, contact email, working hours, services, and staff.

When a customer books, we store their name, email, phone (if provided), the service, and the appointment time. We also keep basic technical logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.

2. Why we collect it

Everything above exists for one purpose: to run the booking service. Emails let us authenticate you and notify you of new bookings. Business data powers your public page. Customer bookings power the calendar. Logs help us detect fraud and outages.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising. We do not build profiles for third parties. We do not read the contents of your bookings for any purpose beyond delivering the service you signed up for.

4. Integrations you choose to connect

When you paste a Google Sheet URL, booking rows are appended to that sheet by a service account you have granted access to. Revoke access at any time from your Google Drive sharing settings. When we send emails on your behalf, we use a transactional email provider under a strict data-processing agreement.

5. How long we keep data

Business and booking data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove business and booking data within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely for capacity planning.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to a small on-call team and audited. We follow the principle of least privilege and rotate credentials regularly.

7. Your rights

You may request an export of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or request deletion. Write to privacy@localbooking.app and we will respond within 14 days.

8. Children

LocalBooking is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will notify account owners by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Non-material changes may be published here without notice.
